Making your own luxury candle at home is simple, clean, and satisfying—just the way it should be.

1. Wick Your Jar
Prep your jars for refills with our step-by-step guide [HERE].

Open your pouch and remove the wick. Peel off the wick sticker backing and press the wick firmly into the center of your empty, clean candle jar (approx. 3.5"–4" wide is ideal).

2. Melt the Wax
Place the open pouch upright in the microwave and heat for 2–3 minutes, or until fully melted.
Tip: For extra caution, place the pouch in a microwave-safe dish to catch any possible leaks—this packaging is fully compostable and may soften slightly with heat.

3. Pour with Care
Slowly pour the melted wax into your jar.

4. Let it Set
Allow your candle to cool undisturbed for at least 4 hours before lighting.

⚠️ Safety First

Hot wax can cause burns. Always handle with care, avoid skin contact, and never leave melting wax unattended. Allow wax to cool completely before touching or trimming the wick.

🏺 Choosing a Safe Vessel

Not all jars are created equal. For your safety, we recommend using a sturdy, heat-resistant vessel that won’t crack, leak, or catch fire.

Ideal materials include:

✅ Glass (shop our Infinity Jars!)

✅ Ceramic

✅ Sealed metal tins

✅ Enamel

AVOID: thin or unsealed glassware, plastic, wood, or any materials not rated for high heat.

ALWAYS trim your wood wick to 1/8" before each burn. Wood wicks burn best when kept short—this helps prevent issues like sooting or an overly tall flame.

Don’t stress about tunneling or achieving a full melt pool right away.
Our coconut-beeswax blend is soft and intentionally formulated to burn slowly. It’s completely normal for some wax to remain on the sides of the jar—even during the first few burns.
As your candle burns lower and the heat increases, this wax will gradually melt and even out—usually by the halfway point or later.

NEVER burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

If your flame is too high, flickering, or producing soot, simply extinguish it, trim the wick, and relight. Due to wood wicks natural composition they may burn inconsistent from time to time—this is normal.

ALWAYS burn on a heat-safe surface, away from children, pets, and drafts.

NEVER leave a burning candle unattended

Our refill pouches are fully biodegradable and designed to break down over time. For best results, we recommend using your refill within 6 months of purchase.
When heating in the microwave, it is recommended to place the pouch in a microwave-safe dish to catch any potential leaks—an occasional side effect of choosing planet-friendly packaging.
